Situated in Kirn, a quiet residential area of Dunoon, our very comfortable, well appointed house-
comprising good sized lounge, 2 bedrooms (1double and 1 twin), dining kitchen and bathroom with bath/shower - contains all the amenities of home including TV, Video, DVD, washer/dryer, dishwasher, combination microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer, electric blankets, etc. All linen
included and there is ample parking.

We are a stone's throw away from the beautiful Cowal Golf Course (non-members welcome) and Bowling Green, midway between the Caledonian MacBrayne and Western Ferries termini.
Dunoon, with its famous Victorian Pier and
Promenade, is a bustling friendly town on the edge of the Argyll Forest Park, a real hill walker's
paradise.
Visit Benmore Botanic Gardens, the lochs and
majestic mountains of this magnificent area of
scenic beauty. Thirty minutes away at Colintraive take the short ferry crossing to the Isle of Bute. For a complete change, you're only an hour away from the vibrant major city of Glasgow with its
famous shopping, theatres, restaurants and
museums (many of which offer free entrance).
Stunning Loch Eck - Less than 10 minutes drive away.
As though this is not enough, Dunoon is also home to the world famous Cowal Highland
Gathering

Directions

 

Dunoon can be easily reached in just over an hour from Glasgow.
Take the M8 Motorway to Gourock (follow the signs for Greenock) and either Cal-Mac Ferries to Dunoon Pier (approx 30 mins) or Western Ferries to Hunters Quay (20 mins). Kirn is midway
between the two.

From either ferry terminal:
From (Western Ferries turn left, and from Cal-Mac Ferries turn right)
Follow Shore Road to village of Kirn and to Kirn Parish Church.
Turn up Kirn Brea into Ardenslate Road.
At “Slow Zone” sign, turn left into Argyll Road, then first left into Fairnhaven.
Continue to the end of the road and turn left into the car park.
Our house is on the right-hand side of the path.

From the north, Dunoon can be reached using the A82 Loch Lomond Road, the A83 “Rest-and-be-Thankful” (spectacular scenery) and the beautiful A815 Loch Fyne and Lock Eck Roads.
At Sandbank, follow the A815 Coastal Route along the Holy Loch, Hunter’s Quay to Kirn.
